SENATE BILL NO. 272 "An Act relating to mortgage lenders and                                        
persons who engage in activities relating to mortgage lending; and                                  
providing for an effective date" was read the second time.                                          
                                                                                                    
Senator Green, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent for                                       
the adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered on page                                    
3037. Senator Ellis objected, then withdrew his objection. There                                    
being no further objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 272(FIN)                                         
"An Act relating to mortgage lenders, mortgage brokers, state agents                                
who collect program administration fees, and other persons who                                      
engage in activities relating to mortgage lending; relating to                                      
mortgage loan activities; relating to fees for recorded mortgage loan                               
instruments; and providing for an effective date" was adopted.

will be on the May 2 calendar.
